Buses and electric cars will now travel faster through Warsaw

The Municipal Road Administration has announced the establishment of a bus lanes in both directions of Pulawska Street in Warsaw. The length of this section is approximately 10 kilometers, starting from the city border to rtm. W. Pilecki Street.

Puławska Street is one of Warsaw’s most important routes. Buses of eight lines run on it, carrying almost 140,000 people a day. During rush hours, a total of 22 buses stop at bus stops. Unfortunately, so far there have been days when during the morning rush hours the travel time in the direction of Mokotów was even twice as long as the schedule would suggest.

This will now change. The bus lane, which was created on both sides of Puławska Street, between the city border and rtm. W. Pilecki Street, has already improved the passage of city buses. Faster travel on one of Ursynów’s most important streets is also facilitated for electric vehicles, which can travel on the bus lane.

The implementation of a bus lane on Puławska Street was made possible by the General Directorate of National Roads and Highways’ commissioning of the S7 expressway. The opening of this route, also known as Puławska-bis, from the Airport interchange to Lesznowola, was good news for bus passengers and individual drivers. Some vehicles that were still traveling along Puławska Street in August have already moved onto the new artery.
